Technical Sales Representative
Who You Are:
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for growing business through inbound/outbound sales. Accomplished by actively seeking new sales opportunities, establishing strong customer relationships, building customer solutions, and closing sales. You are a strong team player who excels via collaboration with other team members in a company, and you enjoy helping to develop and execute engaging and unique sales strategies to successfully promote products and services to new and existing customers. You also are adept at engaging customers in a meaningful dialog with the predominant focus being on how to help best help them achieve their goals. Finally, you seek to achieve extraordinary earnings as a direct result of your successful efforts.
What will you do?
- Develop new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting.
- Collaborate with and leverage internal and external sales, technical, and service partners to build an opportunity pipeline and close deals.
- Conduct technical/consultative selling via phone and video conferencing.
- Work with customers to provide technical guidance, present benefits, and solutions in a way that addresses their needs, and guide them through product selection.
- Generate and provide pricing and quotes to customers
- Use selling techniques to advance the sales cycle; leverages points of agreement to gain buy-in and commitment for moving forward.
- Understand and communicate the value of doing business with our company.
- Self-prioritize daily activities, meet goals and timelines, and utilize exceptional time management skills.
- Utilize Zoho CRM to accurately and effectively track activity and to update lead, account, and opportunity information, as well as sales pipeline with a focus on winning business.
- Assist in the development of best practices within the lead generation sales process.
- Minimal travel requirements – able to work in-office the majority of the time. Future work-from-home arrangements are also possible for successful candidates.

Experience
- 2 + years of technical sales experience in industry/technology or related field with a high degree of complexity preferred.
- Prior experience in scientific equipment sales is considered to be a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and presentation communications skills.
- Strong Telephone / Email communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative and good business judgment.

Research & Development Engineer
As a Research & Development Engineer working with our team, you will take on the leadership of our technology development. This will also include managing team members within our engineering & production team to help improve all aspects of product development and production in order to keep projects moving forward on schedule. You will detail project plans & be responsible for the development of cutting-edge technology that is being designed for national (and global) air quality measurements. If you have strong previous expertise to identify and solve complex technical problems and a proven competence and success in scientific instrumentation engineering & product development, then we’d like to open a conversation with you.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Train under the Director to take ownership of company in-house R&D program
- Learn & apply company strategic technology goals.
- Liaise constructively with end users and customers in a technical & operational capacity to obtain feedback for product enhancements.
- Facilitate future R&D grant funding.
- Prepare R&D grant applications on behalf of the company, from an engineering perspective.
- Create designs for instrument devices based on innovative concepts so that they are functional & able to be commercialized.
- Assist with the commercialization of current R&D from an engineering & technical perspective.
- Engineer robust and manufactural products through strong understanding and application of engineering fundamentals.
- Develop and execute test methods which specify measurement equipment, test set-up, measurement systems analysis, and data analysis.
- Write detailed technical reports based on design verification analysis/testing for design changes and product design activities.
- Define material properties, develop concepts, verify prototypes, create and execute clinically simulated bench tests.
- Manage multiple project timelines, resources and responsibilities to achieve goals.
- Verify and validate designs and transfer new products into production.
- Transfer products designed for manufacturing throughout the development cycle and into full production.
- Work with external resources to resolve product issues, quality design and performance.
- Translate functional needs into product specifications.
- Gather business intelligence (patent, technology and competitive intelligence) to identify new scientific trends and conduct strategic planning.
- Gather any legal documents, including laws, regulations and patents that are necessary for determining a project’s feasibility.
- Assist with Company Intellectual Property protection of innovative designs and developments.
Qualifications
- Ability to successfully manage an engineering team
- Understanding of environmental scientific instrumentation – strong prior experience in the field of air quality measurement instrumentation, or other scientific measurements monitoring instrumentation, is preferable
- Ability to analyze data
- Background in Electronics/Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Chemical engineering
- Willingness to travel on a limited basis
- Computer programming knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of Solid Works is preferred
- Knowledge of Mathematica is preferred
- Proven ability to identify, break down and solve a variety of difficult technical problems.
- Disciplined and well-organized in documentation (plans, requirements, drawings, design reviews, and test methods)
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently with a minimum of supervisor input
- Must be proficient in the English Language

Education & Experience

Scientific Instrumentation Engineer
The Scientific Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the installation and service of Ambilabs ambient and environmental air pollution monitoring and measurement equipment, both remote and onsite throughout the United States. Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the operation and maintenance of scientific measurement instrumentation. You will have the ability to work and learn independently and be willing to make best judgment decisions in an operational setting. You will have a mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a knowledge base that includes the scientific principles of air measurement, pneumatics, electrical and electronics, computing, and network skills. Through collaboration with other team members in our company, you will also help to develop client relationship strategies that not only promote our products and services to new and existing clients but also support our clients by engaging in meaningful relationships with the predominant focus being on how we can help best help them.
What will you do?
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Ambilabs products and services and utilize this knowledge to successfully manage, deliver and enhance Air Quality Monitoring Projects for our clients.
- System installation, servicing, and calibration and maintenance of Ambient and Environmental Air Pollution Monitoring and Measurement Equipment.
- Utilizing various tools and techniques, build customized instrumentation projects.
- Travel to customer sites and perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Ensuring sufficient equipment/spares are on hand to attend to most foreseeable failures.
- Provide ongoing customer support for existing projects
- Engage clients on how to improve existing customer projects and pass this to the regional manager for potential proposals
- Demonstrate initiative in finding solutions to clients’ ambient air monitoring challenges
- Perform Customer Training on all elements of products and environmental
- Assist in meeting project management goals.
- Positively represent Ambilabs at all times.
- Display professionalism, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical knowledge in all customer interactions.
- Maintain technical competency by attending training, staff meetings and remaining up to speed on new products, markets, customers, and competitors.

Bookkeeper
Working directly with the CEO & COO, the bookkeeper is responsible for the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
What will you do?
- Bank reconciliation, petty cash reconciliation
- Accounts Payable / Receivable
- Prepare Invoices
- Process monthly payroll
- Assist CPA with annual State and Federal tax return preparation
- Prepare 1099
- Manage monthly and quarterly tax payments
- Prepare adjusting journal entries.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
- Oversee inventory transactions in company accounting system, to help accurately maintain inventory stock. This includes also assisting with and eventually overseeing annual stock take.
- Prepare financial scheduled monthly and ad hoc reports for company department managers, including cash flow reports, GM%, and project financial report
- Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment.
- Develop, maintain, or analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
- Prepare, analyze, or verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
- Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, or expenditures.
- Manage QuickBooks updating (Cost vs. Sell for price adjustments)
